Today was the kickoff campaign for Alpha Chi's own Melanie Smith as she runs for SGA Vice President! Elections are Tuesday February, 14.  We love you Melanie and we are so proud of all that you have already done for our university!!!

Alpha Chis On the Cover!

For the past two weeks, Auburn's all Greek Newspaper, The Odyssey, has had Alpha Chis grace its cover.  Last week (right) it featured a picture of a group of Alpha Chi seniors getting ready to go to Alpha Chi's American themed social.  This week (left), the cover includes SGA Vice Presidential Candidate Mealnie Smith who is the only female running for an SGA office this year! Alpha Chi LOVES Dance Marathon!

Alpha Chi Omega has a rich history with Auburn University's Dance Marathon.  Dance Marathon at Auburn was started by an Alpha Chi who recently served as Miss Auburn and all of the past directors of the event have been Alpha Chis.  This year, Alpha Chi didn't stop with its support of the 12 hour event which benefits Children's Miracle Network.

Here, some of the Alpha Chis pose in front of the Alpha Chi sign at the event including Samantha Link (Assistant Director of Dance Marathon), Melanie Smith (SGA Secretary of Community Outreach), and Madison Boyd, Lindsey Gillen, Kathryn Boswell, and Heather Duncan who were all part of the staff team that made Dance Marathon a national record breaking event!

Good Job with HSLC!

Congratulations to Alpha Chi Omega's High School Leadership Conference Councilors Madeline McMillan, Shelby Cole and Mallory Burkes for doing a great job at HSLC this week! HSLC is a two day program put on by Auburn University's Student Government Association that allows high schoolers to come and be equipped with leadership skills.  Each year SGA only chooses a few of the best students on Auburn's campus to be counselors at this conference and 3 of them were Alpha Chis!

Indy for the Weekend

This weekend our chapter President, Hilliary Street, and our Vice President of Standards, Chelsea Crooks,  went to the Alpha Chi Omega Headquarters in Indianapolis.  Though the hot topic in Indianapolis this weekend might be the Superbowl, the hot topic for Alpha Chi was a national leadership convention and summit.

 

Spring is in the air!

Here on the plains things might be getting a bit chillier but that doesn't mean that our spring semester can't be just as fun as a football filled fall.  Last night Alpha Chi had its first social of the semester with an American theme.  Who needs to wait until July to see the fireworks spark when we can be patriotic all year long!
